Another year's worth of planning and rehearsals culminated in a successful production of 'Alice in Wonderland' at The Collyer Hall Theatre, Wimbledon.

Over 100 pupils took part and everyone really enjoyed creating the wonderful costumes and choreography for this imaginative story.

The Finale of the show on the 15th December brought all the staff and pupils on stage to say thank you to Michelle Townsend for her inspirational teaching over the last 20 years. Michelle will be retiring from the Ballet School but continues to teach Adult Ballet classes.

In aid of CHASE children's hospice.

The Nutcracker
22nd - 24th October, 2010

A year's worth of planning and rehearsing culminated in a wonderful weekend of performances of 'The Nutcracker Ballet' at The Collyer Hall Theatre in Wimbledon.

120 pupils, ages 6 to 17, took part in the production and all had great fun. It was a marvellous experience for our pupils to have the opportunity to perform in such a well-loved ballet, in costume and make up. However, our primary aim was to use this lovely event to raise funds for CHASE (Children's Hospice), our chosen charity.

Margaret Manly, a representative from CHASE spoke to the audience at the final performance and many of us are now better informed of the marvellous work that goes on at St Christopher's Hospice in Guildford.

We managed to raise £6,372 by our efforts and are tremendously grateful to all our pupils, parents and local sponsors for making this possible. For more information about the charity, please go to their website at www.shootingstarchase.org.uk.

When we are not busy preparing for examinations, we are raising money for charity through our school productions.

Over the past twelve years, many children and parents have been involved in our shows which are performed to a very high standard, and give pupils the experience of performing on stage in front of a live audience. Our shows, which are performed at King's College Theatre, are filmed and photographed professionally.
